Illegal Pete’s ‘Smothers Autism’ For Autism Awareness Month, The Joshua School [Huffington Post Denver]
We are so excited at the response our Smother Autism Campaign has already received. As you can see from the above photo, we have gotten some great support for our leaves. We have also seen a lot of people smothering their burritos. Thanks everyone for your support. For those of you who don’t know, April is Autism Awareness Month and Illegal Pete’s have committed to supporting the Joshua School. The Joshua School is a year-round, non profit educational center and the only school in Colorado designed specifically for children with autism approved by the Colorado Department of Education.
So please come in (or come in again) during the month of April and know that every time you smother a burrito, Illegal Pete’s will donate a dollar to the Joshua School. You can also purchase leaves for $1.00 and that money, too, will benefit the Joshua School. Lastly, we have two events coming up at Illegal Pete’s DU that we hope you might come down to:
4/14/12 The Music of Robert Harrison and Days of Rae at Illegal Pete’s DU (Coors and Odell donated kegs and you can have all you can drink Coors for $15 or all you can drink Odell and Coors for $25!)
4/26/12 The Epilogues and special guest at Illegal Pete’s DU
Thanks for helping Illegal Pete’s extinguish the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder by raising funds for The Joshua School through the Smother Autism Program
