Cello prog pop artist and Greater Than artist, Ian Cooke, has partnered with Meep Records and artist Brittany Gould to create an extremely limited number of 7″ vinyl records, each paired with one-of-a-kind artwork.
Only 33 records will be cut. They will be released with a show on May 30th, 2013 at Deer Pile in Denver: 8pm doors.
9pm: The Seven Hats, Joshua Novak, Rachael Pollard, Esme Patterson, Chris Jusell, Elin Palmer, Darrel Gill, and Chimney Choir cover Cooke songs.
10pm: Ian Cooke solo set.
The record features two unreleased songs recorded during the Fortitude sessions: “Love Where You Live” and “Criminal” – neither are available for streaming or download anywhere.
As a bonus, the 7″ will include a bonus digital download of four cover songs.
The 7″s are individually cut by Meep Records using a vintage Presto K-8 lathe. They are clear vinyl, mono, and play at 33 1/3 rpm. They are individually cut rather than being made from a stamper so every record is unique. The artwork was hand-cut, assembled, and hand-numbered by Brittany Gould. Each cover is unique.
There will only be 33 records available. Of those, a very limited amount are available for pre-sale here: http://iancooke.bandcamp.com/album/limited-edition-record-release
In addition, Cooke will be selling his CDs, LP, and new shirts, available in nearly every color, shape, and style. Each is also one-of-a-kind.
